Vocational education career exploration should not be over looked by those who can not afford a four year college education or who have little interest in going heavily into debt and spending four years of studying subjects that don’t correlate well with their interests.
While the value of a college education should not be underestimated the value of a good technical education should equally not be underestimated. Being equipped with the skill sets that immediately satisfy the needs of an employer can lead to a satisfying and well paid career.

The following article about the high cost of attending a campus college begs the question, “is earning a college degree worth becoming an economic slave?” Unless, a student is supported by a well off family, can get a large enough grant or scholarship, or can obtain a low cost loan, perhaps they should consider earning a college degree with a far less expensive online distance learning program or by attending college part time while working at a full time job.
